TAG Farnborough Airport Airspace Change Proposal – update
4th February 2013 by TAG Farnborough Airport
Meeting held with key aviation stakeholder NetJets in London on 22 January 2013 to gain initial requirements. Many key aviation stakeholders have now been informed of the Airspace Change Proposal (ACP) at TAG Farnborough Airport and been given an opportunity to outline their initial requirements.
NATS, TAG Farnborough Airport’s provider of air traffic services, organised an internal air traffic control (ATC) technical workshop at NATS Swanwick centre on 16 January 2013 to discuss design and procedure options in more detail.
Planned activities: February 2013
TAG Farnborough Airport and NATS is consulting a number of aviation stakeholders on a regular basis during this initial preparatory phase to fully understand their requirements. A second set of meetings with key aviation stakeholders is being set up in February. Additional meetings will also be established to engage a wider group of aviation stakeholders in the coming weeks and months.
As part of a continued process of engagement, a meeting is planned with the Civil Aviation Authority’s (CAA’s) Directorate of Airspace Policy (DAP) on 15 February 2013 to provide an update on the progress of the ACP and what the early design options may look like.
